The Club was formed in 1995

The course is set in established parkland, which gives a feeling of maturity beyond its years. The 6824 yard par 72 course has been built to a high specification with exceptional USGA quality greens.

Orchardleigh was designed by Brian Hugget and built during 1994, with much of the construction work undertaken by the existing Greenkeeping team.

Orchardleigh's parkland course offers 18 spectacular holes routed through mature trees with water coming into play on seven. It certainly is a challenging but rewarding golfing experience. Set amidst the stunning Somerset countryside it's a haven of peace and tranquillity.

 

 

In 2005 Orchardleigh Golf Club was bought from the Bank by the members and is now a flourishing members run business.

The course offers a real challenge for the more accomplished golfer, whilst still being enjoyable for the less experienced player. With well presented greens, appropriately sized teeing areas and an automated irrigation system to greens and tees including a comprehensive drainage system ensuring that the course is enjoyed by both members and visiting golfers throughout the year.

The practice facilities are excellent with full length practice range, practice bunker, chipping and putting greens.
