GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS
The following General Terms & Conditions apply to all competitions.

- The current general conditions (Rule 20) relating to Somerset Golf Union Championships and tournaments will apply to all competitions. Copies of these rules are also available at affiliated clubs.
- Competitors must be of Amateur status as defined by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews.
- Competitors must be a member of a golf club affiliated to the Somerset Golf Union, or must have been born in the County and be a member of an affiliated club in another County.
- Home Club handicap certificates dated within two weeks of the competition will be required for all Competitions.
- A player shall walk at all times during a stipulated round. Buggies are not permitted unless a player is disabled as defined by the Disability Discrimination Law.
- For Juniors/Colts events: Caddies are not permitted
- Details of Entry Fees and Closing Dates for entries can be seen on the Standard Entry Form. Entry Forms must be received by the Competition & Fixtures Administrator on or before the Closing Date for the competition.
- A copy of Starting Sheets will be sent to all competitors and Clubs.
Champion Club Tournament (run in conjunction with the County Championship)
- Clubs may enter teams of three players, members of which must also be playing in the County Championship.
- Team members must be nominated prior to the commencement of play of the County Championships.
- In the event of a tie the Competition will be decided on the basis of the afternoon rounds, taking the last 18 holes, then 9, then 6, then 3, or finally by such manner as the Competition Committee shall decide.
- The Champion Club is a Gross event
- The winning team will receive the Champion Club Trophy
The winning Club is also invited to represent the County at the 'EGU Champion Club Tournament' (see Fixtures for more details)
The Somerset Golf Union will contribute up to £350 towards the expenses for that competition
