GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS
The following General Terms & Conditions apply to the Foursomes Championship. For the current general conditions (Rule 20), applicable to all Somerset Golf Union competitions, click on the link below.

- The current general conditions (Rule 20) relating to Somerset Golf Union Championships and tournaments will apply to all competitions. Copies of these rules are also available at affiliated clubs.
- Competitors must be of Amateur status as defined by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews.
- Competitors must be a member of a golf club affiliated to the Somerset Golf Union, or must have been born in the County and be a member of an affiliated club in another County.
- Home Club handicap certificates dated within two weeks of the competition will be required for all Competitions. (Players with inactive handicaps are eligible to play in Somerset Golf Union scratch competitions but are prohibited from winning any nett prizes).
- A player shall walk at all times during a stipulated round. Buggies are not permitted unless a player is disabled as defined by the Disability Discrimination Law and the Competitions Committee has granted prior permission for its use.
- Details of Entry Fees and Closing Dates for entries can be seen on the Standard Entry Form. Entry Forms must be received by the Competition & Fixtures Administrator on or before the Closing Date for the competition.
- A copy of Starting Sheets will be sent to all competitors and Clubs.
County Foursomes Conditions
- No competitor may have represented another County at golf during the last 12 months.
- Handicap Limit: Combined handicaps may not exceed 24 for any team
- In the event of a tie the Competition Committee shall rule upon the manner of deciding the winners.
- The County Foursomes is a 36 Hole Gross event.
- No competitor is eligible to receive more than one prize.
