Development Squad have to dig deep at Weston

The Development squad had to dig deep to secure a draw against Gloucestershire after a disappointing performance in the morning Foursomes, finding themselves 3.1 down with the first three pairings losing their respective legs 4 and 3, it was left to Brock and Martin to bring home the first point with a 4 and 2 win in the last Foursomes match of the morning.

Recognition of the need for a vast improvement in the afternoon singles saw the lads rally to win 5 of the 8 singles to secure a 6-6 draw. Credit must go to the players for such an improvement, but equally they must realise that chasing a 2 point deficit with only 8 singles matches is always going to be an extremely difficult task.

A reasonable season for the development with 1 loss away to Gwent , 1 win away to Devon and today's half against Gloucester .

My thanks to all the players who have supported the development squad this season and continued self improvement for all is the ongoing agenda .
