Worlebury will take on the Development Team

With only 4 sides competing in the Wessex League, our Development team has been short of fixtures in recent years. In a curtain raiser to their 2017 programme, the winners of the 2016 Pickeridge Bowl, Worlebury will host a match on March 26th against the squad.

The gauntlet was thrown down at the annual SGU dinner, and Worlebury Chairman Keri Allchurch was quickly off the mark in arranging a date. The Worlebury team were immediately up for the challenge and we are all looking forward to a great match.

James Ward said " Congratulations to Worlebury for winning the Pickeridge Bowl March , they will be a stern test for the development squad in preparation for the 2017 season. It is the intention of the County to introduce this fixture against the winners on an annual basis and personally I am delighted that the first will be against Worlebury"
