No replacement of players will be allowed after the Captains have made the exchanges as in condition 5 (above)
- All games must be played over 18 holes the winning player scoring 1 point for his team. In the event of a tie after 18 holes then the game is halved and will score 1/2. point to each team. The team with the most points at the end of play is the winner
- If, after the completion of 18 holes by each player a result has not been achieved, then the last game out shall continue on a sudden death basis until a decision is reached. (See 6/ above. The rearranged game under that condition then becomes the last game for play off purposes irrespective of its original place in the match.)
- In the event that no result has been achieved and the match has had to be abandoned because Play has been suspended by The Home Club Committee, or persons responsible in that capacity, another date must be arranged. In this event any previous individual results will not count and the match must begin again. It will not be compulsory in these circumstances for a Club to field the same teams as in the abandoned match

- Notwithstanding the fact that matches are to played at Neutral Venues it is the responsibility of the first named team to arrange the fixture, and to confirm details with the host club
- Each round must be played on or by the stipulated date. Failure to do so will result in the elimination from the competition of both clubs
- The result of each round must be communicated to the Hon Competitions Secretary of the S G U as soon as possible after the conclusion of the match
- On the final day, the Somerset Golf Union will offer the traditional post match supper at the host club to the two competing teams
