GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

  

The following General Terms & Conditions apply to the Seniors Autumn Meeting.

  • The current general conditions (Rule 20) relating to Somerset Golf Union Championships and tournaments will apply to all competitions. Copies of these rules are also available at affiliated clubs.
  • Competitors must be of Amateur status as defined by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews.
  • Competitors must be a member of a golf club affiliated to the Somerset Golf Union, or must have been born in the County and be a member of an affiliated club in another County.
  • Home Club handicap certificates dated within two weeks of the competition will be required for all Competitions.
  • A player shall walk at all times during a stipulated round. Buggies are not permitted unless a player is disabled as defined by the Disability Discrimination Law and the Competitions Committee has granted prior permission for its use.
  • For Juniors/Colts events: Caddies are not permitted
  • Details of Entry Fees and Closing Dates for entries can be seen on the Standard Entry Form. Entry Forms must be received by the Competition & Fixtures Administrator on or before the Closing Date for the competition.
  • A copy of Starting Sheets will be sent to all competitors and Clubs.

 

Conditions for the Seniors Autumn Meeting

  • Competitors must be over 55 years of age on the day of the competition
  • In the event of a tie the Individual Competition will be decided by a count back and the Team Competition by the 4th score and if necessary by such manner as the Competition Committee shall decide.
  • The Seniors Autumn Meeting is a Stableford event with a subsidiary team competition.
  • Age group prizes will be awarded in the following categories, Age 55-59, Age 60-64, Age 65-69, Age 70+
  • No competitor is eligible to receive more than one individual prize.

The Best Stableford score in this event will receive the Sir Roger Hollis KBE CB Cup, and a voucher valued at

£80.00

The second best Stableford score will receive a voucher valued at

£70.00

The third best Stableford score will receive a voucher valued at

£60.00

 

The Best Team score in this event will receive the George Smith Cup and a voucher valued at

£80.00

The second best Team score will receive a voucher valued at

£60.00

The third best Team score will receive a voucher valued at

£40.00
