Conditions of Play and Qualification
Conditions of play
The current general conditions relating to Somerset Golf Union Championships and tournaments will apply to all competitions. Copies of these rules are also available at affiliated clubs.
The Championship shall be decided by Stroke Play over 36 holes over two days, 18 holes being played on Tuesday afternoon and 18 holes on Wednesday morning.
In the event of a tie for the Championship there will be a sudden death play off over holes to be decided by the Championship Committee.
Qualification
To be eligible to enter, a player must be:-
A male member of a golf club affiliated through its County Union to the EGU.
In possession of a playing handicap not exceeding 8 under the current CONGU Unified Handicapping System.

Entrants must have attained the age of 55 years before the first day of the Championship.

Prizes
The winner of the Championship shall be the West of England Men's Amateur Senior Champion for the year.
