Win or Wooden Spoon

After yesterdays heavy defeat by Cornwall in a match that was much closer than the score would suggest the team need to find some of Tuesdays form or the wooden spoon will be presented to Captain James Ward. It is difficult to understand how the team that won the National Qualifier can find themselves in this situation. In all honesty the match play results have been very disappointing. The problem lies in foursomes pairings which have not  performed well. True the two Toms have not been available for most of the round robin matches but those who have competed have played well and scored well. So maybe today lady luck will shine on Somerset.
