SGU Scratch Pairs (Entry portal for 36 hole event) POSTPONED Rules

This years Championship will give many the opportunity to play links golf and with the 2021 South West Week being hosted by Burnham and Berrow GC in June the chance to play and practice at Burnham may give an edge to some when the SGU Captain selects his squad for South West Week. Entries will be limited.

In response to feedback from the players, the Scratch Foursomes competition was re-aligned to become a Scratch Pairs Championship. Instead of 36 holes of foursomes, we decided to play the morning round as a Scratch Betterball Championship, the afternoon foursomes Championship and combine the two scores to produce a 36 hole Championship)

Maximum Combined Handicap 12
(Morning 18 hole 4BBB) (Afternoon Foursomes) (36 Hole Combined Scratch Pairs Championship)
In the event of a tie the 4BBB winners and the Foursomes winners will be decided on countback (9,6,3 etc) The 36 Hole Combined Scratch Pairs will decided on countback (18,15,12 etc)

The current general conditions relating to all Somerset Golf Union Championships
will apply to this competition and are available at affiliated clubs and on
the Somerset Golf Union website.
