The Burnham Salver Phil White picked up maximum points and Craig Adams 2nd.. Ollie Brimfield, Jon Ball, Luke Appleton, 2019 winner/current holder Andy Ferris, Kobe Adams & Dylan Xanh picked up the remaining points.
The Centenery Trophy Josh Freeman came home with maximum points and George Worthington collecting 2nd place points. Adam Sloan, Luke McCreery, Neil Urch, Andrew Chambers, Louis Osman and David Edwards all picked up points as the order of merit moved on to Bath, an event well supported by players from Wiltshire..
Championship of Bath Kieren Bye in the points taking maximum on offer from Liam O'Mara. and Tom Trobridge. Matthew Wordon, Tom Hurst, Lewis Greenwood- King,Nigel Shaw and Adam Jolly were all in the points.
The County Championship having been moved to Mendip Spring from W-S-M was won by Craig Adams, runner up Andy Isaacs and in 3rd Dylan Xanh. Alfie Jubb, Adam Jenkinson, Myles Angell, Josh Freeman and Phil White collected the remaining points on offer.
Hawkins Trophy Step in Andy Ferris, maintaining his challenge to retain the trophy, maximum points on the day. James Mitchell mounting a late charge finished 2nd with Louis Doe 3rd. Gary Hinchley, Tom Hayden, Luke Appleton and Sam Hughts picking up the minor placings.
As we move towards the final 2 counting championships, the War Memorial at Burnham & Berrow and the P.E.G Smith at Taunton & Pickeridge the table looks like this - Craig Adams leads the field on 90pts followed by Andy Ferris on 65pts. Josh Freeman is well in the running on 60pts and Phil White a few points further adrift on 55pts. Andy Isaacs and George Worthington on 40pts are hanging in there, as is Dylan Xanh 35pts, Olly Brimfield 30pts and Luke Appleton 30pts. With a maximum of 100pts still on offer over the remaining 2 events even a host of players on 25 and 20pts can still feature especially if back- to-back championship wins are recorded.
War Memorial Trophy The highest finish in this years War Memorial Trophy was Josh Freemen 76-71-147 and in collecting the maximum points on offer Josh goes to the top of the order of merit on 110pts. Freddie Turnell picked up 40pts and the 2019 winner Andy Ferris claimed 30pts. So as we head towards the final counting championship, The P.E.G SMITH at Taunton & Pickeridge 26th September there are 3 possible winners:
JOSH FREEMAN 110pts - ANDY FERRIS 95pts - CRAIG ADAMS 90pts
The P.E.G SMITH decides this years Order of Merit
Well played Curtis Edwards in winning the P.E.G Smith at Taunton & Pickeride and Huxley Howell runner up. But the 2021 Order of Merit was decided slightly further down the result sheet on the day. With a 5th place finish Andy Ferris (Tall Pines ) picked up 25pts to finish top of the tree and retain the trophy he won in 2019. Runner up, Josh Freeman (Worlebuy) and 3rd Craig Adams (Tall Pines)

(Please note and due to fixture congestion the County Championship and the Enmore Stag are both due to be played on the 23rd of May. An unavoidable clash but a great pity indeed. The Club and County are working together on a solution and will reschedule if possible to avoid disappointment if . At present both Championships will run simultaneously with Sumara Points counting at each event)

After the first 4 events in this years Order of Merit Johnny Grace Saltford GC leads the way on 90pts having won the County Championship at The Mendip and finishing runner up in the Championship of Bath. In joint 2nd place on 70pts are Craig Adams Farrington Park runner up at Mendip, 4th at Bath & Andy Ferris Long Sutton, 3rd in the SGU Championship and 3rd at Bath. Last years winner Sam Fernley Burnham and Berrow remains in the hunt on 50pts having won the Centenery at Weston-Super-Mare.
The Burnham Saler on the 1st September was played in strong winds and saw Phil White lead the Somerset scoring as her finished in 2nd place overall. Phils 50 pts moved him up the table on a total of 60. Johnney Grace is joined at the top of the leaderboard by Sam Fernley on 90pts. Craig Anams and Andy Ferris and Joshua Freeman are also in contention on 70pts.
Burnham & Berrow War Memorial results are in and the Sumara Salver has a new leader with one event remaining in this years order of merit tournament. Joshua Freeman's 4th place finish and 100 Sumara points overall see's Joshua 5pts clear of Andy Ferris and 10pts clear of Johnny Grace and Sam Fernley. The Mermorial winner Olly Brimfield is in close contention on 75pts whilst Curtis Edwards and Craig Adams are still in touch on 70pts. All to play for at Taunton and Pickeridge 29th September in the Pegg Smith.
Andy Ferris from Long Sutton wins Pegg Smith and in doing so win the 2019 Sumara Salver from Johnny Grace of Saltford. Finishing on a combined points total of 145 gave Andy a 25 point winning margin over Johnny. In 3rd place on 110 points was Curtis Edwards and 4th Joshua Freeman 100 points. Sam Fernley winner in 2018 finished 5th on 90 points Andy was presented with the Salver at the Annual Dinner in November. Well done Andy, Johnny and all who competed in the 2019 Order of Merit.
