The current general conditions relating to Somerset Golf Union Championships and tournaments will apply to all competitions. Copies of these rules are also available at affiliated clubs.
CONDITIONS OF PLAY •
Competitors must be under 18 years of age on the 1st January
Handicap Index Limit: Boys 36 Girls 36
The competition is a team event consisting of three players, Boys, Girls or mixed
The winning team shall be the team with the highest combined Stableford score over 18 holes
Caddies are not permitted
To be eligible to enter a player must:
Be in possession of a competition playing handicap (and furnish his or her WHS number)
Be a member of an SGU affiliated club.
A player may only play for his or her home club (
If a player is a member of more than one SGU affiliated club, he may only represent one SGU club in County Championships and or County Inter-Club Knockouts during any calendar year (1st January – 31st December) Having represented one SGU club during the calendar year the player cannot represent any other SGU club during the same calendar year))
The Junior Champion Club winners can represent Club & County in the England Golf Junior Champion Club Tournament
If unavailable the county will invite the runners up to represent Somerset in the National Finals at Woodhall Spa GC 15th-18th August 2023
