Junior Order of Merit 2016

Dylan Xanh takes over the top spot!

Results are beginning to come in from our Junior Opens, and Dylan Xanh is the early leader. He has scored a total of 90 points from 3 qualifying tourmament. In second spot is Kobe Adams who has scored 40 points in both the Junior Championships and Taunton & Pickeridge Junior Open.

Results are still awaited from the competitions at Worlebury, Farrington Park & Weston-super-Mare, so the positions may well change!

The Junior Organiser and the Executive Committee have made some changes to the format of the Junior Order of Merit in 2016. Each Junior Open will now become a qualifying competition for the OOM, with the best 8 scores per individual to count. Points will be weighted depending upon the size of the field.

We shall also be incorporating a net competition this year to encourage players of all abilities to enter.

The points available during the year will be as shown below. If a competition has less than 10 entrants, no points will be awarded.

As we currently understand, this is the schedule for Junior Opens in Somerset in 2016. Players are responsible for their own entries to the competition. The results will be collected by the Competitions Secretary and published on the SGU website.

JUNIOR ORDER OF MERIT 2015

The qualifying competitions for the Junior Order of Merit 2015 have now been finalised. We are grateful to all of the Clubs who have offered their support and we hope to have a good turnout at each event.

We are particularly looking forward to The Junior Championships at Saltford and the Junior Champion Club competition being held in conjunction with the Worlebury Open.
