Arriving to a very warm welcome from our hosts, it was a treat to see green fairways at the well presented Llantrisant & Pontyclun Golf Ciub. Due to late non-availabiltity, we could only muster 8 players for the match, but were joined by two local members to make up the numbers. They were made Honorary Somerset members for the day which helped to ensure that everyone could have a game.

The morning foursomes went our way, Alexander & Ollie secured our first point, followed by Reece &George M. Seb and George H managed a good half, but Louie just lost out on the final hole. Our Somerset "Ringers" won the final game to secure a lead.

The singles in the afternoon were highly competitive as Glamorgan fought back. as expected. Alexander and Ollie both went down, but Seb steadied the ship, coming from behind to win 2&1. Glamorgan contined their comeback and Reece and Miles were both defeated. Louie and George H both won their games, but our second "Ringer" could not match the firepower of his opponent.

Two games out on the course with everything to play for, both games finished on the 18th, both were havled and the honours were even. A very fitting result for a match played in great spirit with good sportsmanship displayed by all players.

Thank you Lantrisant and Pontyclun for being great hosts, Paul, Martin and the Glamorgan team for the match which was greatly enjoyed by all.
