Under 14 Development Squad Coaching Day

We finally got the chance to meet up with the Development Squad at Mendip Spring on Sunday. The boys received coaching from Ian Vibert and Matt Shapcott and were given some drills to work on back at their Clubs over the coming months. The sessions included shot making on the range as well as putting and short game skills. The morning session ended with a par 12 challenge as the boys were asked to get up and down in 2 from a variety of positions.

After a break for lunch, we headed out onto the Lakeside course for 9 holes of observed golf where Matt highlighted the ways in which scoring can be improved by course management and shot selection. Charlie Cunningham stole the show with a level par score on the day.

This will be the last time for some of the Squad in the Under 14s as they progress through to the next age group. We thank them for their support of the Squads during their time with us and wish them every success in the future - both on and off the course.
