SOMERSET JUNIOR CLUB TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

The Junior Team Event is open to all affiliated clubs in Somerset, boys and or girls or a combination of boys and girls.

SUNDAY 18th MAY 2025

Due to the excellent entry in 2024, we have decided to re-visit Saltford GC in 2025 to host the Junior Team Championship

The Current EG National Junior Team Champions are Saltford GC

• A Team Stableford Event, 3 Players, max index on entry 36.0(All scores to count)

• Max playing handicap on the day 36.0• Must be aged 17 or under on 1st January 2025

• The SGU offer a healthy contribution towards the cost of travel/accommodation to the winning club who go forward to

represent Club & County

.• This is a fantastic opportunity for our young golfers to play in an official EG event

.• Trust me when I say, previous clubs who have been fortunate and played in the National Finals have thoroughly enjoyed the experience!

• Please encourage your Junior Managers to enter a team this year, more than 1 team if possible and compete for this massive opportunity in Junior Golf

• The winning team will be invited to represent club and county at the EG Junior Champion Club Finals. More information to follow

• Please note: all Somerset competitors must be entered into the Saltford Junior Open, there is no extra entrance fee for your team(s)entry)

• Last year we had 20 teams of 3 enter, fantastic junior participation and testimony of the support given to junior golf by club, SCLGA &SGU

• Let’s see if we can get even more teams playing this year, the reward for the lucky winners, a place in this year’s EG National Finals with all the razmataz of a prestigious golfing event and an experience never to be forgotten

.• The winning Somerset teams 2019 & 2024went on to win the National Final!

• To Enter team(s) contact the SGU Secretary at secretary@somersetgolfunion.co.uk having first entered the Saltford Junior Open. The SGU won’t accept entries into the Team Championship unless all team members have entered the SJO.
• Team Entries will also be accepted on the day but must be entered before the first of the team has started their round
