Expressions of interest for the position of Under 16 Team Manager

The Somerset Golf Union is seeking expressions of interest for the position of Under 16 Team Manager. This important role is central to the continued development and success of our junior players, providing leadership, guidance, and support to the talented individuals who represent Somerset at the Under 16 level.

Applicants should possess a passion for golf, strong organisational skills, and a commitment to the highest standards of sportsmanship and junior development. Experience in youth coaching, team management, or a related discipline would be an advantageous but not essential. The position is open to any adult affiliated member of Somerset.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing the selection and management of the Under 16 team
• Coordinating training sessions and match fixtures
• Providing mentorship, encouragement, and support to all team members
• Liaising with coaches, players, parents, and the wider golfing community
• Upholding the values and reputation of the Somerset Golf Union at all times
