The current general conditions relating to Somerset Golf Union Championships and tournaments will apply to all competitions. Copies of these rules are also available at affiliated clubs.
Handicap Index Limit: 18.4 maximum. The player must be in possession of an Active WHS handicap index
To Enter: You must be of Amateur Status as defined by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews

You must be a member of an Affiliated Club in Somerset or, born in Somerset and a member of an Affiliated club in another County.
If a player is a member of more than one SGU affiliated club, he may only represent one SGU club in SGU County Championships and or County Inter-Club Knockouts during any calendar year (1st January - 31st December) Having represented one SGU club during the calendar year the player cannot represent any other SGU club during the same calendar year in SGU Championships or Inter-Club Knockouts. i
In the event of a tie the Competition will be decided by a count back over the last 9 holes played, then 6, then 3 and finally by such manner as the Competition Committee shall decide.
The Presidents Trophy is an 18 Hole Individual Stroke play Nett event
The Presidents Trophy will be presented for the best individual nett score returned
There will be a best gross prize
You may win a team & individual prize voucher, but you may only win one individual prize voucher.
Your entry into the Presidents Trophy can only be accepted if you are a named team member, entered by your club.
