Trounson Trophy Conditions

TROUNSON TROPHY -TERMS & CONDITIONS



He must be of Amateur Status as defined by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews

He must be a member of an Affiliated Club in Somerset or, born in Somerset and a member of an Affiliated club in another County. 

If a player is a member of more than one SGU affiliated club, he may only represent one SGU club in County Championships and or County Inter-Club Knockouts during any calendar year (1st January – 31st December) Having represented one SGU club during the calendar year the player cannot represent any other SGU club during the same calendar year, in any Championship or Somerset Golf Union Inter-Club knockouts.   

Maxium WHS Handicap Index Limit: 18.4 at the point of entry.

Players must be named before the first player in a team commences play and must be in possession of an Active WHS handicap. index

The three best scores of the team will be aggregated to decide the winning team

In the event of a tie the score of the fourth player will be taken into account

In the event that there remains a tie after this the  winners will be determined over the back 9 holes of all 4 players, back 6 etc. The Competition Committee's decisions are final.

The Trounson Trophy is a Nett team event.

The Windwhistle Challenge Trophy (presented by Leonard Fisher Esq of Windwhistle Golf & Country Club) will be held by the second placed team.

The Presidents Trophy will be presented for the best individual nett score returned

There will be a best gross prize
