The Somerset Seniors Channel League match, away to a very strong Cornwall team, was played at Bowood Park which was in excellent condition. The morning fourballs were tied at 2.5 to 2.5 with some excellent golf in all matches and a deluge of birdies. The afternoon singles started well but when the rain started fortunes began to change and as it worsened  our team's chances were washed away. However, worthy of particular note was John Whitcutt's win against Trevor Robinson, a past European Tour professional.
