Team Somerset got their season back on track with an emphatic win over Gwent at Clevedon. Determined to put the narrow defeat by Wiltshire behind them, they made a strong start in the morning foursomes by 4 points to 1. Wins by Phil White and Sam Fernley, followed by Tom Sloman partnered by Will Poole got the team off on the right foot, and more points followed with Jonny Grace and Jeremy Larcombe winning 2&1, and the final pairing of Ollie Worts and Justin Lane.
Success continued in the afternoon, and Matt Turner and Rob Parker made amends for missing out in the foursomes by convincingly winning their singles. All in all, a good day at the office for team Somerset who travel to Tiverton next week for the fixture against Devon.
