Somerset's development eam were defeated  in their final Wessex League match of the season by a strong Glucestershire team. The team had a fresh look about it with a debut for James Mitchell of Clevedon and a return to County colours for the established pairing of Will Parkman & Josh Martin.

The morning foursomes were evenly matched with Gloucesterhire taking the first 2 matches out, but the Somerset boys hit back by taking the final 2 matches. The afternoon was a different story as Gloucestershire made home advantage pay, as match after match went their way. Josh martin was the only victorious Somerset player, winning 2 up in the final match.

The points total does not really do the Someset team justice, as apart from one emphatic defeat, the rest of the matches were all closely contested.

Team manager James Ward can be proud of the teams performances this year. There is a real sense of camaraderie between the players that bodes well for the future.
