The 2016 Senior Channel League season began in cold and blustery conditions at an immaculately presented Enmore Park. There were wins in the morning four balls for Neil Whisler and Alex Kidd, and Ian Perkins and Richard Streeter. The afternoon singles got off to a flying start with wins in the first three singles for the local lads Neil Whisler, Paddy Maclennan and debutante Matt Lazenby. It was particularly pleasing to see Neil defeat Roger Searle by 1up. Ian Perkins completed a fine return to the team and the ever dependable Alex Kidd won the last game. There was a change to a formal lunch followed by afternoon tea which meant that everyone was on the road by 6.30pm. A final public thankyou to Enmore for hosting the match. Touches such as balls on the driving range were much appreciated by both teams.
