Somerset Development squad put in a brave performance at Pontypool against a strong Gwent side eventually losing 7.5 v 4.5. Somerset were ahead 2.5 v 1.5 after the morning Foursomes, but were only able to secure two singles victories in the afternoon.

Will Parkman and Dylan Xanh were the stand out performers both earning maximum points from their matches with Dylan aged 15 making a stunning debut.
