Our second match of the season was a friendly against Gloucester held at The Isle of Wedmore which welcomed us with open arms and my thanks go out to them for making the day run very smoothly.

The day started with nine holes of foursomes with Freddie Turnell our Captain for the day & Kyle Miller getting us our first point on the seventh closely followed by Bailey Langford & Josh Owen with Josh getting our second point with a fantastic shot in to 3 foot from the pin.

Alex Marshall and Jackson Carey didn’t fare so well with a turbulent few holes finally loosing on the eighth but luckily for us James Rew & Harry Selwyn came to the rescue with a convincing win on the sixth giving us a three – two lead.

The afternoon didn’t disappoint with wins coming in the bucket loads from Bailey Kyle Harry Ashton Jackson and Josh all in a row, Our Captain Freddie had a tough time with his opponent who never made a mistake whilst out driving Freddie by 50 yards, don’t worry Freddie when you grow a bit more you’ll be unstoppable.

Our final result of the day came from Cameron Fear our reigning under 12 champion with a terrific win on the 15th.

This is our second win in as many games so far this season with convincing wins in both matches, against a very strong Dorset side we won 8 ½ - 3 ½ and now 10 – 5 win against Gloucester let’s hope it will continue. We were happily joined for the day by our President Paul Middleton who thoroughly enjoyed the day’s event and was very impressed with our boys.

Signing off from a very proud Manager

Geoff Collard.
